Data Visualisation

Autodesk Revit

About this course

This 1-day beginner Revit course is an instructor-led introduction to Building Information Modelling (BIM) using Autodesk Revit. The course is delivered in Belfast, Dublin, and across the UK, and is designed for beginners who are new to Revit or transitioning from CAD-based workflows.

The course is suitable for architects, architectural technologists, engineers, construction professionals, designers, and students who want to understand how Revit works and how to create accurate, structured 3D building models. Participants will learn core Revit concepts, essential tools, and best-practice workflows used in real-world architectural and construction projects.

Rather than focusing on complex automation or advanced BIM management, the training emphasises strong fundamentals, correct modelling habits, and an understanding of how drawings, views, and data are generated from a single coordinated model.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to confidently navigate Revit, create and modify a basic building model, produce drawings and schedules, and understand how Revit supports collaborative, BIM-based workflows used across the UK and Ireland.

As someone who has attended numerous digital workshops and training I can honestly say Big Rock Academy’s introduction to Photoshop was the best I’ve ever experienced. They excelled in teaching us the logic behind the main tools in a very easy to understand way.

I just completed the Advanced Photoshop course at Big Rock Academy and I’m extremely pleased with what I’ve learnt. I now feel equipped to put it into practice in my job. I had a great teacher and I was able to really get to grasps with the software very quickly.
